Cari's musical influences are primarily country, folk, and Americana.  At the top of her list are the two Georges- Jones and Straight, Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack, and James Taylor to name a few. She loves 90's and classic country, bluegrass, and more recent artists like Jason Isbell.  Really, its about artists who tell stories through their music. When asked about joining Dorothy's Dishes, she said "I've played with talented people outside Nebraska, but I had no idea this brilliant group of musicians was hiding so close to home. We all bring something different to the table, but work so well together. I'm so honored to sing on this new album."
